Ed Talks (Summer 2021)

As we close out one of the most unique school years in TJS history, I want to say thank you to everyone - staff, students, parents, and community partners alike - for your flexibility and commitment to our students. We worked together to navigate our interim programmatic response and now we are working hard on what our new normal will look like while we continue to make adjustments as the environment around us changes. We've come a long way and I'm proud of us.

This spring, we celebrated TJS' 15-year anniversary with our founding members and past and present community. Over this school year, technology has helped us connect to our TJS community both inside and outside of Colorado. We are closing our 2020-21 school year with one graduate from the Englewood campus, one from Boulder, and those from the Joshua Early Childhood Center. We will also be saying our goodbyes to two program directors - Jamie Cohen who played an integral part in the success of JECC and Nicole Pearson who played a large role in helping us address and care for the mental well-being of our students.

While there will continue to be changes within our community, one thing remains true - we are dedicated to our students and they are our number one priority. We hope you all have a wonderful summer and we'll see you for the 2021-22 school year.

-Ed
