TJS Transition Program...Developing Job Interview Skills

As a part of the Transition Program in Englewood, students participate in interviews with current vocational sites, where they can practice their interviewing skills.

This year’s interviews took place at the following vocational sites: Blue Star Recyclers, La Belle Rosette, Ten Penny thrift store, and the University of Denver. After the interview is done, students complete vocational internships where they learn valuable on-the-job skills. Work experience is identified as the most important predictor of post-school employment success for students with disabilities. The Joshua School extends its gratitude to all of our vocational partners who help us to provide invaluable learning opportunities for our students!
