Diversity

Blending our unique.

Diversity fuels the learning and growth of every mind, body and spirit in the The Joshua School community. Our commitment to inclusion across race, ethnicity, color, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, religion and veteran status encourages our team members to bring their authentic selves to work each day. We see, hear and celebrate the benefit of all perspectives. We work together in good times and hard times to ensure our experiences build an environment where we all flourish.

The Joshua School has formed a Diversity and Inclusion Council to ensure that we are listening, learning and acting in a way that supports all diverse communities. That Advisory Board meets to discuss how we can act to remove systemic barriers in our workplace, reach out in the community to provide opportunity and begin to better educate ourselves on how to practice inclusion and diversity. The Advisory Board also prepared a statement that represents the The Joshua School commitment to a culture of inclusion and diversity.

Love

The Joshua School opposes all forms of racism and in reflecting on recent events, TJS stands in solidarity with the African American community in the fight against racism, social injustice and systemic barriers. We wholeheartedly support our Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) staff members, students and families, as well as the community at large, in their efforts to seek immediate change in policy at the state and federal levels to save black lives.
